Help for Families Experiencing Domestic Violence
There is never an excuse for domestic violence, emotional abuse or threats of violence. We work to protect the victims of domestic abuse by helping them obtain temporary and permanent protective orders and by developing child custody agreements that allow each parent to maintain a relationship with his or her child while minimizing contact with each other. If child abuse has occurred, we can seek supervised visitation to ensure the safety of the child while the parent seeks help with anger management or a drug or alcohol problem.
False charges of abuse: It’s unfortunate but true that some people take advantage of the law by bringing false charges of abuse to court to get an innocent partner kicked out of the family home. This can have a negative impact on a pending divorce or child custody case. We represent innocent spouses falsely accused of domestic assault.
